Life Membership: Jodie Pritchard (2026)

Jodie is a highly deserving nominee for Life Membership of the Cronulla-Sutherland Water Polo Club, in recognition of her outstanding and sustained contribution over more than 10 years of dedicated service.

Throughout her time with the Club, Jodie has either held or supported almost every operational role, demonstrating an exceptional willingness to step in wherever required. Her commitment has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth running and ongoing success of the Club across both junior and senior levels.

In recent years, Jodie has taken on the key roles of Secretary and Junior Competitions Coordinator. In these positions, she has been central to the Club’s administration and communication, managing correspondence, coordinating activities, and supporting players, coaches, and families on a weekly basis.

Beyond these formal roles, Jodie consistently goes above and beyond taking on additional responsibilities whenever needed, often without recognition. Her contributions extend across a wide range of critical areas, including:

• Coordinating pool bookings and liaising with facility management
• Managing all Club communications as Secretary
• Supporting junior programs on a weekly basis
• Organising and coordinating coaching appointments
• Attending and contributing to monthly council meetings regarding facility upgrades and the Club’s ongoing relationship with the venue

In addition, Jodie demonstrates an exceptional on-deck presence, attending almost all games each weekend across both junior and senior grades providing ongoing support to teams, officials, and the broader Club community. Notably, Jodie has, on occasion, personally covered costs to secure coaching resources when required, reflecting her unwavering commitment to the Club’s continuity and success.

What further distinguishes Jodie’s contribution is that she has continued to dedicate her time and energy to the Club even after her own sons, who were once players, have moved on. This highlights that her involvement is driven not by personal interest, but by a genuine passion for the Club and its community.

Jodie’s tireless efforts, leadership, and selfless dedication make her an outstanding candidate for Life Membership. Her impact on the Club has been significant, enduring, and deeply valued by all members. In recognition of her service to CSWPC, Jodie has received a Cook Community Award and the "Volunteer of the Year" by Water Polo Australia.
